windows xp wireless should be able to save the id/password when you logg in. you can switch the chosen access point into 'manual' or automatic.
to setup the router just plug in the power, and connect.
sorry since this isn't step by step had to type fast. _________________
I don't understand what you mean when you say you're not "in LAN". Your computers aren't on the same Workgroup?
At any rate, take the ethernet cable from your internet modem and put it into the router (there should be a port distinguished from those for the computers). Now connect the router to one computer using an ethernet cable and connect the power supply to the router and a wall electrical socket. If the router came with a CD, put that in and follow instructions.
If there is no cd, open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 (or 192.168.2.1). These should open pages with controls for your router (including wireless stuff).

your router's ip should be labelled on it somewhere. connecting to your router's the easy bit, setting it up is the harder part (for someone like you). if you really have no clue i'd ask a rl friend or someone who knows what they're doing, to teach you the basics.
anyway, if you provide more detail and progress, i'll try to help. _________________
