does anyone play? And does cheat engine work with games like these i cant seem to make it work..

I was the very god himself on BG/2/IWD/HoW/. Of course cheatengine works on singleplayer, it won't blend on multiplayer though since the client needs to be synced with the server. Read Einsteins interaction theory. It was my understanding that this was common knowledge.
