First, let me just say this is MY router. Yeah, mine. I'm not crapping on somebody else's lawn.
Router : Belkin F5D7230-4

It's come to my attention that just by freezing my router will enable its default password temporarily. My router doesn't fall for the basic ping DoS, so I was wondering if there was an easier way.
Back in the day, Cisco routers could be frozen by entering a reeaaaaaaaaly long password, or so I heard. Do you guys know any software exploits in relation?
The point is to gain access to my router without changing the password so I can keep my settings. Basically, I don't want to reset it and need an alternative.
