Well, it's Christmas time, again, and that means it is time for AN UPGRADE!!!

Currently i have:
--Specs--
Intel Core2Quad Q6600 ( Will not upgrade )
Intel DP35DP mobo ( Might upgrade )
160gb mobo ( thinking of getting a 1000gb external )
8800GT ( Will not upgrade)
2gb ram ( thinking of getting 2gb more )
Antec 900 ( Will not upgrade )
650watt PSU ( Will not upgrade )

What do you think i should upgrade?

My motherboard is SHIT, but it is stable. So i am not sure if i should upgrade.

My hard drive is small, so i'll probably get an exeternal.

And i might get 2gb of RAM.

Yes/no?

Anymore suggestion?

you can break it down like this...

xy00

x = how new it is
y = how good it is

9 means it is new and has newer technology
4 means it has shitty speed and stuff
Basically a low end, new technology.

8 means it is old and has some old technology (but still can be used)
8 means it is high end and fast and stuff
Basically a high end, old technology.

A larger HDD would be at the top of my list.
Just buy an internal hdd and stuff it in an external enclosure.

RAM costs almost nothing, and 4GB is nice to have, so I'd throw in another 2GB.

Despite your hard drive being small, if you think it's enough I'd say just leave it alone. If it's just not big enough then I'd recommend going with a WD 640GB, they seem to be a good value and highly reviewed.

You shouldn't buy more ram if you don't use.
On my main I got 2gb (cuz It's best for overclock) and its more then enought.

Buy a 640gb Interaldrive, those are like 60 bucks.

EDIT, wops didn't see the message intop of me.

Also external enclosures + internal hard drives can be equally as fast as SATA/internal.

I will probably get an enclosure that has eSATA ( It is the same speed as SATA, as far as i know) with USB2. Since not all computers have eSata ports Very Happy

I'll definetly get a 1tb drive since i already filled the brim of my hard drive and i had to delete about 300gb of movies + games + music. MPAA and RIAA paradise.

Ill have to get 2gb more RAM, since i would like to run VMware without getting raped Very Happy
