I'm trying to play Half-life 2 on my laptop and an error comes up: HL2 lags like hell every time I start it up and I want to get rid of the lag.

Have fun. One thing from someone using the same chipset on a desktop; You're about to lag like fuck. Soz. No fix. IGP sucks shit. Sorry. Lawl. You're worse off than me. I can play decently until shit gets hectic, but you're on a lappy. :x _________________

Even at the lowest of specs and running it in DX8 through parameters at start - I lagged.
Only way is to play on a better machine.

run the game in DX7 mode (or even DX6, but there is no support for that render path, and DX7 is probably faster). mat_dxlevel 70.
