I usually just connect my modem(comcast) to my PC, but some1 in house bought a new PC (mac?) and i was going to reinstall my linksys router so she could have internet on her PC to.

anyways, for some stupid reason, comcast isnt allowing me, nor the other PC to connect to the internet via the linksys router.

any way around this?

Is it comcast themselves?

or are you setting it up wrong and blaming it on Comcast?


If it is the first one, then they are doing something illegal most likely, or you signed up for some bull shit plan.

If it is the second option of that option, you cannot get around it.

did comcast give you their own special router/modem?
if they did, try spoofing the same mac address as that on the other computer.
