Actual knowledge of a language vs. using a tool without knowledge.
Those with knowledge can still use a tool, so I see no real point to be made. |

It is more like hammering a nail with your fist (notepad) or hammering a nail with a hammer.
Does the person with the hammer make them less professional because they used it? _________________

I actually prefer to do things manually, although I will use syntax highlighting.
Personally, tools just make it harder for me to code, but I can see how others would not have a problem with it. |

I agree, that using a syntax highlighter is better...
But all Dreamweaver does (apparently the most hated tool on CEF)
is give you SOME useful HTML code... that anyone can remember.
I can't find one thing on Dreamweaver that gives me an edge over more experience people who dont use dreamweaver... Can you find one? _________________

To compare: I took a very basic, very slow, public HTML class (with great regret). The class spent an entire week learning how to use the <table> tag, and yet students could not get this.
That is when someone would need a tool.
Those who know HTML would find it useful.
And I've never used DreamWeaver, so I'm not sure about it's functionality. |
