That is literally thousands of times slower than brute forcing a local password. Even a P4 can count from 0 to 10^8 and do a "cmp" for each number in less than a minute. |
Yes but what if the server was hosted by you?
Edit:I'm a year smarter now.
I mean that what if you send a bruteforcer virus to someones server/pc and it trys to brute force it there but the password/server is encrypted. |
If you managed to get a virus on their computer, why the hell would you want to bruteforce it when you can just record their keystrokes?

call me stupid, but i don't THINK bruteforcers show up on virus scans, whereas keyloggers do.
Thats just a Guess, i do not know for sure.

Keylogger doesn't necessarily get picked up o_O Write your own, use some method that isn't just like everyone else's, it's likely to not get picked up. Just keep rewriting the algorithm until nothing seems to pick it up anymore.

Pretty neat I guess,
Passwords pro does 3.000.000 in one second though.

this password: $H?n at 65 bits worth of strength means there's about
36,893,488,100,000,000,000 possible combination
3,000,000 a second for 100 years exhausts 9,460,800,000,000,000
36,893,488,100,000,000,000
vs
9,460,800,000,000,000
brute forcing is dumb.

Well um... what if I put virus that injects it into all operating systems? Imagin each computer doin it for me
so... (1Billion+1) Computers is about
94,460,800,000,000,000 Per 20 minutes!
vs..
9,460,800,000,000,000
WHICH MAKES YOUR STATEMENT INVALID. THINK THE IMPOSSIBLE!
brute forcing is the key to all answers. with brute forcing you can get any answer in the universe. brute forcing is like a little time capsule. Soon brute forcin will be able to get 10^Infinity Responses at the speed of light

Using your theory, you could be a wizard and just read the mind of the person rather than bruteforcing. It's more likely than injecting into a billion computers or whatever bullshit you try to say to make your statement valid.

so assuming you managed to run this on 7 billion computers at the same time, all doing 3,000,000 a second for 100 years, yes you would probably be able to get that 8 letter password in that timespan. good job.
yet, it hardly has anything on that 64 character one earlier which would easily outlast 100 trillion guesses a second on 7 billion computers for 100 years. actually, it might just be found just before the heat death of the universe at that rate.
fun stuff.

Well if Einstein is right about black holes... I'll try and put a computer in it and hopefully it will keep going back in time! Which would make bruteforcing instant for any number/combo.

Honestly, slovach pretty much owned the shit out of you with the first few posts he made, why are you carrying on with this and just humiliating yourself some more?
