Well, I want to downgrade my computer to Windows XP. I have the disc, but I'm wondering how I can get my drivers that are compatible with XP. I currently have Vista (came with the computer when I bought it) but I'd like to go back to XP.

My main question:

How can I make a drivers disc (like the one that came with my PC when I bought it) so it can work with my new XP OS.

If its OEM(Dell, hp, Gateway etc.), then by all means, Vman is actually right.For once...

But if its not
1) Download http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php.
2)Look at and note down the;
-Mainboard
3) Hold the windows key and press the Pause Break key.
4) In the top left, click on device manager.
5) Expand Display Adapters and write that down.
----
6) Google for your motherboards model name, and you should find a site with information about it. There should be a 'Downloads' or 'Drivers' Section. Click on here, and make sure that;

You download the 'Chipset drivers'

You download the 'Sound Drivers' , unless you have a sound card thats not inbuilt.

You download 'Networking Drivers', unless you have a networking card.

Then go to your card manafacturers website , either AMD/ATI or Nvidia, and look for downloads and or drivers. Follow it all and if you have a problem, post.

Now just burn all these files to a disc, or zip em up and put em on a USB drive.
