Every three weeks we have to hand in 10 journal entries - each 160 words and on different assigned topics. They are graded out of 100.

Every class we are expected to read a certain number of pages from a book, and every class we take a 20 - 30 point quiz on the contents of the pages.

When we are not discussing the books we are reading, and when we are not taking quizzes, we are learning grammar and vocab, and are taking 200 point tests.

We also discuss quotes from famous people, and are assigned some of the most random things to do after learning (somewhat) what the quotes mean.

Yeah. I think English is 'Gay'(Happy? WTF? More like dumb as fuck.) as well.

Actually, it's pretty easy, balancing out the Journal entries + quizzes + tests...I have a study hall for 82 minutes before English class (which I do have tomorrow...) so I can read the pages we will be quizzed on or finish up any journal entries I didn't finish the night before...

Semester ended on Monday and my final grade in the class was a 93 because some faggot who scored low on a huge test asked for a retake, which I did horrible on (I was BARELY prepared.) so my grade dropped from a 100 (No kidding. I got 100s on all of the quizzes and Journal entries) to a fucking 93.

My English class is an easy A. If you were in it, and had a study hall before the class started, I guarantee you'd have like an A+.
