Hey there.
I want to use RivaTuner on my Vista laptop, to optimize my performance, but it didnt work out.
I tried something from nVidia that's called EVGA -something-, didnt help either.
When i save my GPU and CPU speed, press Apply > OK, then it goes back to defualt settings.
I can't boost my CPU speed in BIOS. I can do that on my XP desktop.
Any help, so i can get through Vistas safety precausions?(typo)

Vista sucks. What does it do when you open RivaTuner?

Your GPU drivers are probably locking you from overclocking. You might be able to flash your drivers for a different one that does allow for overclocking, but they put the locked driver in place for a good reason. As for CPU, seeing as most laptops are bought pre-made, it's likely that your CPU and most other options are locked in the BIOS.

Can you post a link/explain how to flash the driver(s)?
On old laptop, that's also premade, i can edit my CPU speed in BIOS.
But if i downgraded to XP, would it help?

Acting fucking hardcore.
I asked if there's a way to get around those safety precausions.
When I'm home i have a cooler for it, it keeps it down on 30 celcius max.
