1. At some times, many people are using the internet, making it slow.
On certain websites, the server might be overloaded.
2. Plug your mouse in really tight. How old is the mouse ?

yeah the internet really depends on your internet service provider because if they got a sucky server you'll get a sucky internet connection. and about the mouse...if you got a laser mouse try some anti-static monitor wipes and clean the laser if that doesent work you might want to start looking for a new one.

vmanisme is correct but on the mouse part I suggest either getting a trackball mouse or a nice USB plug-in laser mouse and depending on your needs for more so heavy gaming I would suggest going with one of Razer's many mice and one of their duel mouse pads or for the typical use some gaming but not so hardcore go with Logitech.

weird, instead of lagg spikes, you get im calling speed spikes. doesn't mean your internet is fast tho. try getting drivers for your mouse, or get a brand new one.
what kind of mouse you have?

Not really this was happening with my internet a while ago and it was because the towers here can't be higher then the trees and I pay for 100mbps internet it is mabye 1/2 that sometimes.
