yeah those are good but i see no reason for those when there's quad core around that processor is for people that want to save 50 cent on their energy bill and run a weak dual core processor.

Not impressed on the gaming front.
I'll be buying a Q6600 when I upgrade in a week or two, def not worth the couple hundred extra to get an I7 system going.

The low-end Core i7 cost around sub $300s which is a tempting buy, but as for their boards... forget about it.
$350-500 a pop!

Way to make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

this processor runs at dual-core speed's but saves energy, quad-core is still faster than this crappy processor so there's no reason to get this one... well if you wanted to save a few coins than you can get this processor........ get it?

Did you even read the first review? No, of course you didn't.
Nehalem itself looks impressive with non-gaming applications. DDR3, the integrated memory controller, 8 logical threads really help it up in that area. I was kind of expecting that type of performance in games, although I did think that the integrated memory controller would have given Nehalem an edge over last-gen processors. All the games I know of don't support 8 threads (yet), and there's not much of an improvement with CPU cache.
DDR3 is getting better, once the price drop a bit more, they can become the standard. It's about $100 for 3GB, whereas you can get 4GB of high-performance DDR2 at under $60.
From what I've heard, motherboard prices are outrageously high, almost as much as I payed for the computer I'm using right now.
For most mainstream users and gamers, stick with what you have now. Nehalem should become more feasible when X58 prices drop a whole lot.

According to the AnandTech review on the i7. The downside to it is the requirement for ram is it cannot exceed 1.65v. Ram that exceeds 1.65v will damage the processor. Now in order to make DDR3 worth it's money you will have to get DDR3 1800 or higher, but with those type of rams, their voltages is way beyond the 1.65v limitation.
The good news is ram makers are listening so they're making them achieving higher speed without going pass the limit.
Let's just hope they produce it faster than what they say on paper.
