I think you're confused. Single/dual-core is referrring to the processor you have in your computer. A piece of hardware. The only way you can 'change' between them is to replace it with another.

| He probably disabled one so he could use a Cheat Engine and wants to change it back now, I saw someone with a similar question before.

| Go to Device Manager (Control Panel>Hardware>Device Manager) and then find Processors.

Thats not a great option in my opinion. CE will run regardless. And there's always the newer 'beta' releases of CE that support threading properly.

And then what? Don't post unless you know why you would want to do that. That brings the user to device manager, then what?... exactly.

This is the 2nd time where I've seen this thread where the OP never specify what type of processor their using.
Is it a Pentium 4, Pentium 4 HT, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo, or Core 2 Quad ?!

| You would alter the process affinity or patch the process to make it run on whichever core you want, not forceable disable a core in device manager.

I use linux on 80% of my comps so I don't have any problems fixing what
process is used on what core.

Why did you go on single-core to run CE? I have a quad and CE works perfectly on both XP and Vista i dont get why you changed it but i think the only way to change it back is to go into BIOS and do it from there...

Everyone in this thread is talking out their ass, and I'm not sure a single one of you even understands the question.
Sigh...
Go to the Device Manager, Processors, and Update Driver. Select ACPI Multiprocessor PC. If this doesn't work, and it likely won't, you'll need to do a Windows repair.
Next time don't cripple your PC just for a few days of shit Maple hacks that will a/b you anyway.

he's talking about a stupid engine that is undetected when used with MapleStory. i think SF should make a rule against maple fags coming to the computer talk section to fix their core problems. this is like the 3rd thread i've seen about this and you could probably find your answer in a previous thread.
btw, the solution which has been posted all around the MS section is the one that cheetah posted (the only post in this stupid thread that hinted intelligence).

I would know if I was retarded and decided to effectively cut my processing power in half like the OP here.
Besides I was right, if Cheetah's right anyway.
