Hey,
I heard of this Miniature Linux called Slax.
http://www.slax.org/
You can run it straight off your USB Thumb drive.
In order to run it off your thumb drive you first must make it a bootable usb by "run bootinst.bat (or bootinst.sh) to make it bootable."
If i make my USB Bootable, how do I make it Unbootable?
And Can i still keep my files in my USB or must it only contain the SLAX files?

To make it unbootable, just delete the bootfile.

It probably requires a clean usb drive, don't know so backup your usb data first.

Try zipping the files that you want to keep put in on the flash drive and then put SLAX on there. ANd to make it unbootable again just delete the bootfile some windows platforms might automatically start it and wont let you delete it just use a scanner or something. You can always format it but that will delete everything, i recommend connecting the USB drive to a scanner (or TV if you have one of those big ass media center TV's with USB ports) it wont know what it is and should let you delete it.

Thanks guys,
If i plug in the USB with SLAX after Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x86(32-Bit) boots, will the USB boot or can I simply delete it with windows, because I don't wonna waste my USB...

thats the problem you dont know what its gona do boot or start in explorer mode but i know for sure that you can always format your USB drive, that will get rid of everything. To format go to My Computer>right click on the USB drive>Format
