| I'm planning to buy some more RAM for my computer since I only got 1GB right now. I asked around and people told me to get the DDR3 RAM. But how do I check if my motherboard can use that RAM? Help would be appreciated.

NO!!!!
Do not get DDR3.
The price:performance ratio is not balanced.
Stay with DDR2 because it is commonly used.
Now to tell what kind your motherboard supports.
Just open up your computer.
Take a picture of your motherboard.
And we can tell you.

| well if you know what model your motherboard is then you dont have to open it up, or if you have the box you can try read that

You have 2 slots of DDR2 RAM.
Now push Windows+Pause and tell how much RAM you are currently using.
