Recently my G/C PU temps have been going UP~!!
My GPU gets 85 degrees when playing COD4 and my CPU gets to 60 degrees

I believe it is because the GPU fan is only 3 cm away from the bottom of my case so the hot air cant go anywhere

Is it better to buy a new case?
Cuz ive got no idea what to do...

Ive got no clue why my cpu gets so hot..

And ive got a HD4850 GPU and a Q6600 processor

COD4 is an intensive game therefore your gpu and cpu temps are fine.
60 degress at load is consider quite low.

So don't worry about it too much.
If you feel this still needs to be look at, then clean your PC (dust) and apply a new amount of thermal paste or get a better fan.

COD4 is weird.

It has somewhat 'great' graphics but is not that heavy really.
I get a better fps in COD4 than in CS:S

GPU: MSI 9600GT (Overclocked version with Seaweed cooler)
CPU: Phenom X4 9750 (Stock fan, stock speed)

My temperatures after 2 hours of gameplay in COD4:

GPU: 58 celsius
CPU: 55 celsius
System: 36 celsius

My idle temperatures:

GPU: 45 celsius
CPU: 37 celsius
System: 32 celsius

So yeah, i suggest you get better cooling Wink

Your temperatures are still on the 'safe zone' so it's not necessary.

Your temps are perfectly safe. If you still want to cool the GPU further, you can use a program like RivaTuner to crank up the fan speed, or just get an aftermarket cooler.

your temperatures are good thats how hot my processor gets when playing crysis, and about the GPU.... it depends on the GPU why its so hot, google your GPU and see if its that hot for other people if its you then try a video card cooler instead of a new case, i recommend liquid so it cools your video card and processor at the same time thats what i got.

With the new ATI gpu's their that high. Many people get them even hotter.
They will take it up to 130 degre. but then they will get broken.

You got fine temps, you don't need an new chassi for better temp.

I assume that's 130 degrees celsius not Farhenheit. Computers uses Celsius so it does not freak people out.
Therefore a cpu at a low temp of 35C will be 95F.

So 130C = 266F
or 130C = 403K

Any that's way too hot!

Your temperatures are perfectly fine. Generally, you shouldn't worry about CPU temperatures until you hit 70C, and for GPUs, 90C.
