hey guys i had this GREAT IDEA!!!! anyone that's a good programmer this will be sweet to make!!!! well there is a video going around called Wii-mote test site.. what it is is it tells you moment on it and what button your pushing and stuff.... you go on the site on the internet channel but what i had in mind was someone makes something like that but when you move the wii-mote it makes light saber sounds.. and when you jerk it it makes a hit sound then when you press the "B" button it would "turn off" or Turn on" the light saber... and all you would have to do is go to the link on the internet channel on the wii

You still need to hook up the Wii sensor to get where the Wii-more is pointing. Have you though about how you are going to get the information from the Wii-mote?

Wiimotes use bluetooth to communicate. There is already free software providing drivers.
If you didn't want to use positional information, you could calibrate with the wii-mote pointing straight up and then use the accelerometer to track the pitch/yaw/roll of the saber. For left/right/up/down movement you would need the two-point infrared transmitter, but those aren't too expensive.
