| I was just wondering if there was already a way of pausing and resuming processes in cheat engine with out the use of break points. and if there then i suggest adding one. there are some values that would be much easyer to search for if the process was paused and it didnt change. something simple like a pause / play button on the main window.

click on advancedoptions, and you'll have your pause button. (In windows XP it doesn't even need a debugger)
it's not in the main window, but you can give it a hotkey in settings, so it even works when inside the game. (of course tabbing out will be hard, but sometimes just a pause is still usefull)

Thanks i checked once guess i just didnt look hard enough. Man is there any feature you didnt forget? what about a feature to set breakpoints on api's like in olly command plugin 'bp send'. What im talking about is discribed at http://www.gamehacking.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109
In that tutorial they put a breakpoint on the send(). is there a way to do that with cheat engine yet?

yes, in memoryview you can set a breakpoint at the address of send
rightclick and choose goto address (ctrl+g), type in "send" and it goes to that api
there you can set a breakpoint, or do a code injection using a auto assembler template.
Or if something is fullscreen you could try the "break and trace" which will break at that address and then step through the code for you without your interaction
