Hello, I installed windows virtual PC recently, and I realized that I dont have the windows XP installation CD that is needed to create a new virtual machine. Any way I can create a new virtual machine without the installation CD?
Also, where do I get the license code for the installation of windows XP?

Virtual PC is a tool that lets you run multiple OS within a host computer. It's a ideal tool when you have doubt on a software you just downloaded. Running on a virtual PC does not affect your host OS and if anything does wrong, just reset the virtual disk (make sure undo disk is enabled).
As for creating a virtual machine you will either need a physical XP or Vista disc or the ISO file.
As for the key, you will need to buy it if you want it.
Sometimes Microsoft will provide try our version of their windows that also comes with a trial key.
You can even run a free version of linux on your virtual PC. _________________
