for Inventing 3-D Nanotube Visible and Ultraviolet Solar Cell.

William Yuan, 12-years-old and a 7th grader in Bethany, Oregon's
Meadow Park Middle School's Summa options program for the gifted,
will be recognized September 24, in a Washington, D. C. reception at the Library
of Congress where he will receive his 2008 Davidson Fellow Award and a $25,000
scholarship for his invention of a highly-efficient, three-dimensional nanotube solar
cell for visible and ultraviolet light. William is an active member of the school’s
Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Club and participant in the Science Bowl
