Why can't my computer run a disk that is :

"Sony AccuCORE DVD+RW 4.7GB"

but it can run :

"Sony AccuCORE DVD-RW 4.7GB"

I just bought 20 DVD+RW and opened the package so I can't return them..

My disk drive is : PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631

But it says in the name : "+-"

Can you give me a reason why you think/know that, or else I just think that you made that assumption because I said it didn't work.

Next time when you go and buy blank disc, check the place where it's made from. This sometimes determines the quality of the blank media.
As for Sony disc, I always find them to be a PITA because they always seem to cause glitches even if I put it in my Sony DVD burner even when the firmware for my drive is up to date.
Heh Sony can't work with its own branded product, now that is just sad. Laughing

I mostly use TDK or FujiFilm.
