right now im learning java in my computer programming class at school
and I'm getting really interested into this kinda stuff
I've had this one javascript book for awhile but i never bothered to learn it so i want to know what its useful for, i know its used in web pages but what EXCACTLY can you do with it?

Java is a programming language released as a core component of Java's platform.

Basically you can handle 3D into webpages and make games or show pictures in 3D.

In the main thing, it's a programming language derived from C and C++.

javascript is a very handy language used for many different task.. technically it can do most anything with the support or COM object or WMI
also it can be used to do very simple things like button event handling in webpages or writing a log file or wrting to the System Event Log or starting a Process, its not knowing what it can do it knowing how to do it what matters though Wink
