Hey, I recently got myself a Acer Notebook, laptop, and now when I'm starting windows, it lags like crazy, after, hours maybe, it turns down again, and its normal. Either something is hard to load, or theres some virus I can't find.. Anyone has the same problem?

I have an acer laptop and it takes about 1-3 mins to load.
And it has vista on it btw.

if you still have a warranty, you should either go turn in back in or ask for a new one. make sure you have no illegal things on it. also, your warranty is voided if you modded it.

What are the system specs?
If it is because you have low specs u can;t blame it on acer you bought a cheap 1. I know this kid at a skool, he bought a shit laptop and said (forgot which company) suck's dick

I remember fixing on a Acer laptop with Vista before and the HD just blinks constantly non-stop. I've disabled indexing service and other craps but still does not work. In the end it was a faulty HD and luckly it was under warranty so the client send it back.

One possible thing could be the schedule defrag that runs in the background.
Disable it and see what happens.
