How do I cheat?

I tried with an UCE to find the address for gold/hp, I even found addresses for the price of selling the item to the npc, the problem i have is when I use "find out what writes to this pointer" the game crashes...
The game I am trying this on is CabalTW.

Any ideas?

It's because there's an anti-hack protection.
And therefore, when the debugger is found, the game crashes and exits.
The solution would be to circumvent that, and then try attaching the debugger to the process.

also, most UCE's usually don't have the debugger fully implemented
