After several years of wanting fishies i finnaly obtained a fish tank.
Any tips on how to raise fish and stuff?

get a good filter and stuff and change the water regularly, also don't forget to feed the fish and they should be ok

Oh yea and never fill the tank too full make it like 5-7 inch less from the top, I had these little gold fish and they jumped out of the tank.

Remember to check if the filter is clean and if it is installed and working properly, and also get fishes that are not rivals.

Before cleaning the tank, put your fishes into a basin with the water their originally in.

Next remove any accessories and gravel and put them into a separate holder and wash them separately.

Drain out the water from your tank. There are many ways to do it, but here's a method that you can use.

Take a tube not too long and not to short (I use on that's 4ft long), fill it completely with water and cover both ends with your thumb. Next submerge one end into your fish tank and the other end pointing to a large empty bucket. Now let go both of your thumb and you'll see gravity do it's thing (the water from the fish tank will be sucked out into the bucket).

When completely drained out go wash your fish tank and other accessories you've got (gravel, filtration system, etc...)

When our done setting up, add algae killer and other items that will help your fish.

Before putting your fish back to their home wait at least 15-20 minutes to let the water become room temp.

And finally do not get fishes that lives in different water environments!
e.g. Salt water and fresh water

PS for feeding the fishes I used those pellet food so if their not hungry at least they float longer then those flake types and all I had to do is use a net to scoop them out.
