In actual fact, I had prepared a writeup on Cheat Engine.
Still wondering if I should be adding more stuff to it!

*******************************
What is Cheat Engine
Cheat Engine is a tool designed by Dark Bytes and gang, to help people cheat at their own games. It has a hex editor, assembler and disassembler, a debugger, a memory finder and allows you to make trainers for games. No programming skills are required to use the product, however knowledge of how to search for values and/or the basics of trainer making will help. A basic hands-on tutorial is included with the file.

Cheat Engine is now Version 5.3
Dark Bytes says:
I've released ce 5.3 and i'll just post it here first (I'll update the site later)
Binary download:
http://cheatengine.4dwebhosting.com/CheatEngine53.exe
Source download:
http://cheatengine.4dwebhosting.com/CheatEngine53src.rar

UCE?
An UCE, otherwise known as an Undetected Cheat Engine is a bypassed version of Cheat Engine. The UCE is made by editing on the Cheat Engine Source all the detected strings for a particular Game Guard version, and recompiling to executable binary files. It is one of the methods to overcome the detection of the anti-cheating software called Game Guard, in this case where Maple Story is concern. An UCE usually remains as an UCE for a certain period of time, or revision of the Game Guard. It will no longer be an UCE when its presences are being detected by game Guard.

Making my own UCE
There used to be great Tutorials Guides for Making the UCE, and I could still recall some great author, RollingDice and Aniblaze, which you can used to create your own UCE. However, due to the facts that the tutorials were abused, there will never going to be another one released or updated by them.

You may still learn how to make a new UCE via a more difficult way:
Try to obtain the older version off the UCE Making Tutorial by RollingDice or Aniblaze. Browse and stay active on the Anti-Cheating Section of the Cheat Engine Forum:
http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewforum.php?f=23
and try to updates accordingly the area which are now currently detected, and not updated in the Tutorial.

Dude, if something isn't not on Wikipedia, it doesn't exist. CE has to have an article on Wikipedia.

i think a wiki is a good idea as it would also bring more people in here. people that might learn and contribute. Also a wiki for plugin devolpment might be a good idea at the least. darkbyte could also host a tempory wiki that we all could add to for like 3 months and then could become the new helpfile.

"If something isnt not on wikipedia it doesnt exist."

Well, going with the basic fact that two negatives = a positive,
isnt + not = is

If something is on wikipedia it doesnt exist?

And, yes, its true that at this given time I have nothing better to do.

Oops Sad

Anyway, to prevent vandalism, only a select amount of members should be allowed to edit the Wiki.... It would be great to put the basic tutorials on a Wiki. I know there would still be noobs who either don't read it or still don't get it... But it would be nice anyway.
