What's the brand with the best price vs performance laptops? I'm looking for a laptop that's around $1000 and I'm having a hard time deciding which brand is the best.

I just built an Alienware computer on newegg, i did the most expensive shipping and a different ( and in my opinion better ) case... Newegg cost 1,500 less...

Seeing as they have terribly high PCs, the laptops cant be much different of a rip off.

nope, you just pay for the brand.
go into your local computer shop and ask them how much they would charge for the same specs.
