|
|
i want to install a network card on my friends pc, but am not sure how to do it.
for example, how do i know that it's in correctly, and should i install the hardware or the drivers first?
i didn't have this worries with my own soundcard, because it was PCI-E, which i've found some instructions for. for PCI though, i don't know a thing about it.

1. Insert the card into the pci-slot. It can only be inserted in one way.
2. start the computer and wait until windows detects the card.
3. Either use the disk that came with the card, use the wizard or use the internet to intall the drivers.
Note :(Most networking cards are allredady in microsofts database and do not need to be installed)
