My friend (a php web developer) worked on encryption in his early days of web programming and made a type of encryption that does something like the following :

Take string -> hex -> binary -> 20 bit

etc and then just reverse it...There are very advanced free methods out there for this type of stuff though

I know, im looking and not finding anything Sad i need it to be one string ( jkaefh3q4wf not 01 01 01 01 or e3 bg t4 3s ) so hex and binary arent fun...

Why? If you are using it to store passwords then you can...If you are using it just to add encryption, then hex encryption is good. and remember; you can always change the hex to a string after other manipulations >.>

Code:
function strhex($string)
{
   $hex="";
   for ($i=0;$i<strlen($string);$i++)
      $hex.=(strlen(dechex(ord($string[$i])))<2)? "0".dechex(ord($string[$i])): dechex(ord($string[$i]));
   return $hex;
}

If you want encryption you can use DES or blowfish.

I think the code was

Somthin..._create_IV
somethin..,_Encrypt
Uh... Forgot but just search it on the net. Look for php blowfish or something.
