Whenever I'm ingame for maplestory I get this weird lag. I've never had it before. I'm always lagging strangely, like having a huge lag spike. The mobs would just freeze, and occasionally they unfreeze but right afterwards goes back to freezing. Usually if I try use a skill or get hit, hp and mp wouldn't go down until the mobs unfreeze and freeze again. Sometimes I can't use a skill. If another character is in the same map as me I don't get that problem, if I'm in town, again, I don't get the problem. I'm It just started like a month ago and I have no idea whats going on. I thought I might have a virus or something so I reformatted my comp but it didn't do anything. Same thing happened even afterwards.
Does anyone know whats going on?

Okay, so malware is out of the question. Did anything happen to your internet/network lately? Change of router/modem or anything that could interfere or change your internet's performance? Do you constantly get the lag, meaning every day, or just periodically?

Try going onto a different computer on the same network and see what happens.

i get it constantly. There was 2 changes. The first was dsl gave us an upgrade or something and the other was my brother attempting to replace my motherboard but failed so he put it back.

First let me ask how did he fail at replacing the motherboard?
Second let me ask, did he screw everything back together and properly?

As for the DSL, I have no clue about that.

It is network lag. Something fucked up.

we didn't a grapics card that fits with the "new" motherboard so he had to put back the old motherboard.
He sorta screwed it up when he put it back together, the disc drive didn't work
When he fixed the disc the comp would make annoying beeping sounds on booting up. It wouldn't start up if it beeps like that and not beep once like normal. Occasionally it would beep once like normal
