|
|
I just got my Wii and I set up my WFC, but when I play Brawl on WFC, I keep getting Error Code 86420 whenever someone tries to connect to my game. Can anyone help me with this? I've tried the troubleshooting on the Nintendo Website but I really don't understand it.

All you've told me is exactly what was on the Nintendo website. This shows that there's at least one person who can actually help me and not at like a complete retard about this. I've tried all those things you said. But it says on the website your Wii could have a default IP or you have to assign it one. Like you said, it's your IP + 10 digits. But my Wii had an IP already on the list. So I used that IP when Port Fowarding. The problem here is I have no clue how to Port Forward. Here's what the website said to do:
Quote: | If you are prompted for a device or profile name, you can enter anything you like (such as Wii, etc.).
The starting port to open is 1, the ending port to open is 65535 (or as high as the router will allow).
Protocols will need to be set to UDP only.
Set the IP address for the ports to forward to the same as the Wii's static IP address. If you don't know what the Wii's IP address is, the best way to determine it is by performing a manual setup:
|
I get basically everything besides the starting port and ending port. All it says on my computer is "Starting Port" and the the Protocols and IP adress and then "Private Port". Is Private Port the Ending Port? Because if it is, it's not working because that's what I've had this whole time.
I'll try adding the 10 digits to my IP, but I don't think it will work.

I seriously tried 4 different ways of trying, using two different IPs for the Wii. The problem is that I have a Belkin Router and it doesn't have a "Starting Port" and "Ending Port". It has an "Inbound Port" then a "Private Port". But then there's another problem. Private Port doesn't mean Ending Port. Because I've tried that already and it doesn't work. If someone can help me with Port Forwarding using a Belkin Router, that would be VERY much appreciated.
