ok so my problem is everytime i turn my computer on i get into windows then it freezes, i tried the card in another computer and it does the same. just wanted to make sure its the card before i throw it away o_o, also how do i know what new card i can get for my system. thanks in advanced

The card is probably faulty, as it doesnt work in the other computer either...

depends what slots you have

most new cards use PCI E slots

Had the same with ubuntu and it was my RAM so try reconnecting that before throwing away ur GPU
