my visual basic 6 protable won't load winsock even if i go into browse and find winsock.dll still doesent load i was planing on makeing somthing for hamachi please help me get winsock back on vb6p

The 32-bit version of Winsock is ws2_32.dll. It is however unlikely that your VB6 program used Winsock.dll, VB6 generates 32-bit programs, Winsock.dll is a 16-bit DLL. Mswinsck.ocx is the ActiveX component for the VB6 Winsock control...
SO basically, click start --> run --> type in RegSvr32 C:\windows\system32\winsock.dll or wherever your winsock.dll is located.

Also, if your winsock.dll doesn't register. Then do what volcom said and download the VB6 regular version. You can find it on alot of torrent sites, or on youtube videos.

he's trying to say why he can't download vb6 from the microsoft site. and magic cow, you can't download it from the microsoft site because all that they offer is vb 2005 & 2008, which is vb.net. check your pm and i'll tell you how to get it.
