You need to start by changeing Value Type to:
Float for Health
Double for Ammo
You need to have both set to 5000 or greater at the same time to advance (so its like Step 4 has 2 parts, that sly Dark Byte).
Now remember, Float & Double arent exact in computers, they are accurate enough (if you want the IEEE standard for storeing Floats & Doubles just ask), so the value displayed could be very close, but not exactly what is displayed.
So searching by exact value may be a waste of time (it could work out, but I'd rather not chance it).
Instead, search by bounds.
For Example
If the value displayed is: 98.2 (Actual value: 98.1999969482422)
You know its Bigger Than 98.1 & Less Than 98.3
If you Scan for Bigger Than 98.1
Then Scan for Less Than 98.3
You should have eliminated most of the eronius possibilities.
It will take several searches to narrow it down, but it will work. Think of it like doing 2 searches for every search you would do if you were dealing with an Integer. Additionaly, you won't accidentaly eliminate what you are searching for by entering bad bounds.
There is the Rounding features, but I'm not used to relying on those.

well, if you search truncated it will ignore everything behind the last decimal you entered to search for. So, just do that. You can't even search exact for floats or doubles. It is always rounded or truncated.

I'm not totaly sure about the differance between floats and doubles, but I believe doubles can have higher values.

Well a floating point uses a single address (32-bits, or 4 bites) while a double percision uses 2 addresses (64-bits, or 8 bites for those that cant multiply). They use similar ways of encoding floating point numbers.
