The main words are quad, 9800, and 4 gb RAM. For 2k you can probably get a hard core gaming computer for like 90% of games out there. But if you can build, go for that choice.

Total: $1,768.91 before shipping. Very overclockable and you'll be able to throw in another 4870 down the road if you like. Adjust as needed, for example you may not need 1TB of space and a 500GB would do just fine, etc.
