im looking for a mid range graphics card for an agp slot i want to play requiem and really thats the highest i care to play.

3850 is the best you can get for AGP, and I know they're a bit under $150 now.

wat does AGP stand for?

is it AGP vs PCI?

Accelerated Graphics Port. PCI-e 16x (4GB/s) has almost double the bandwidth of the fastest AGP slot, AGP 8x (2.133GB/s). PCI-e 2.0 (8GB/s) has double the bandwidth of PCI-e 16x.

AGP is an outdated platform, and it is likely that no more new video cards will be released for it. The best you can get is an HD3850 from ATI, or an NVIDIA 7800 (ATI's offering is better).
