Is this a silly thing to do, sell my 8800GT and get an HD 4850?
I don't know much about ATI cards, I have no clue if they work on Intel mobo's / Intel processors etc.
I just want to know if I will see any noticable performance gains from switching from a Geforce 8800GT to an ATI HD 4850
Thanks in advance;

I'm on 1680x1050
Will I notice at least a 20FPS gain? No? Yas?

3dmark is retarded, and anyone that goes by those numbers is an idiot
It's no surprise that with such a following, ATI and Nvidia aggressively optimize the fuck out of their drivers for it. Guess why? Idiots look at it, and it sells cards.
You might remember a certain 2900 series that excelled in 3dmark and shit it's pants everywhere else, especially with FSAA on because ATI "brilliantly" did it on the shader units at that point in time.

There is one more thing, 8800gt supports only dx 10 but radeon supports also dx10.1

If you have the money, I'd say go for it.
