i have 758 kb/s internet, and i get 20-50 kb/s download speeds. how can i help boost my speeds to the 500-1m mark?

it depends on the torrent and the amount of seeds. also make sure that in the settings you've configured it to your type of internet connection, ie 512kb/s. this is easily done using uTorrent.

Simple, get tcp optimizer... should boost it for the most part, and it sometimes is as slovach said, who is seeding...
you can have a thousand seeds, but if there uploading at 1kb/s. thats 1000 kb/s
what if you had a thousand seeds that are uploading at 30kb/s.
thats 30000 kb/s.
See the differnce?

Some ISP´s (Comcast) are anti-torrent and set limits and shit just for torrents ( so i have heard ),

Well, they dont like torrents, and they try to cap them or ports or something... I dont remember what they tryd to do, but i can give you the article sooner or later.

you can always go into task manager (ctrl alt delete) and set the process bittorrent.exe (or whatever one you use) right click it and set priority to abovenormal or high, depending on if you are going to be using the computer during the d/l

so the more CPU it raeps of you the faster your internet? Yeah.... i dont think you can get more wrong than that... You internet does not depend on your CPU... Atleast not really...
