What parts do I need to buy?
(This is just for future reference, as I'm a noob to the hardware side of things)
Thanks.

Hmm, it might work better depending on what case you were comparing nothing to...
Case with 1 fan whole < leaving it out in open air with fans....
You could try it... It is very dangerous though... and you will probably have a fine line of dust on it over night.

If you look around people have ran there computer [w/o chassis/case] in a wood case... but imo cases are designed specificly to reduce noise and cooling,
but I have 3 120mm fans in my case and 2 of the 80mm ones.
so I think my case is cooler than my house. :]

1st Your computer cannot be cooler than the air temperature... That is simple logic... teehee (this only applys if you are using air cooling)
2nd Yeah, definetly get a case... they r win... Even if your a cheap jew

| Running a comp without a case will kill components, without a grounded case there is nothing to protect them from static, and they will eventually die. I've had the same issue with acrylic cases, killed 2 motherboards over a few months, switched to a metal case, running fine for over a year.
