Quad core. At this price range, quad would be the best for most setups.

Quad all the way baby.
Try to get a G0 stepping if you choose quad. I have mine clocked at 3.8 without much heat increase on air.

Considering you never mentioned what you do with your computer, each and every one of these replies is biased, and based only on the users preference for their needs, and thus completely useless to you.
