I downloaded C++ from the Borland site today and I didn't actually get the compile application. I got a bunch of files and crap that don't make sense. Am I supposed to piece em together? The readme tells me to download a second time and add folders and crud. Very confused.

Why not try other compilers such as MSVS. I don't know much about Borland's but its the Borland C++ Builder you should download.

http://www.microsoft.com/express/product/default.aspx the C++ on that page is what you should get.
