Yeah i was just wondering what you guys think about DirectX 10.

Is the better graphic worth gettin Vista (wich is for me the worst OS after Windows ME)

I also been tought to never touch a running system and as my XP runs like hell i dont wanna upgrade for some small effects.

And weren't there projects that tried to imigrate directX 10 to XP? i mean projects under GPL/GNU wahtever..

10.1 is functional as of SP1, ATI's new lineup supports it.

DX10 doesn't magically equal fancy effects.

DX10 brings all sorts of fantastic things to the table, if only developers could actually focus on it alone now, and actually create a good renderer instead of an afterthought.
