whenever I upload a .exe file I made in VB6 so my friend can download it downloads as some random document even though mediafire specifies it as a .exe file. it works when i upload it to other file hosters so whats wrong?

Nothing, right click>save as and change the filename to .exe

Where it says download now, right click that.

go to the file where you saved it and right click it and click rename and add .exe to the end of it.
