When I go onto my computer, I look at the top and I see:

Hard Disk Drives(2)

Vista (C: and System (S:

Just wondering what the S: drive is..
Also, what is a Combo Socket?

S: could be a backup drive, a cd drive, anything really... Open it and find out.

Hard Disk Drives (2)

So there both physical disks, not a CD drive, lol.

Vista C: is where your OS is installed to, and the majority of your appz I would suspect. System is the remaining space available. Could be used as a restore partition, or just extra space that is unused.

So you have two main hard drives, plus a storage area where the OS is held. And then the S drive might be as a backup, is there anything in it? It can either hold stuff like, when you automatically lose power and your working on a word doc, but it comes back when you turn your comp back off?

Also, sockets are used to describe what type of processor can fit in a motherboard. A combo socket I think is a motherboard that can use more then one processor at the same time.
