When you first start working out the first week is very painful... you should move higher to 20 pounds... I just started too, and I work out 3 hours each time I go to the gym.
When you close your arms you will feel your muscles swollen that's because that's the part of the body you worked out.... you will feel resistance in the arms when you flex
Bananas have a chemical that reacts with the pain in the muscles and nullifies it a little.
You should NEVER do a single workout on one machine with over 100+ pulls, go to another machine or go to gym and work on every body part.
After you're dun working out you should move to treadmills, and walk... you don't have to run.... but if you want a challenge run.
Never go on the treadmills before you weight lift, because it burns all your fuel and you will be weaker on weight lifting.
If you feel any sharp pains... stop immediately. Sore is nothing... but if you feel like your muscles are ripping when you weight lift.... don't work on that body part for awhile until its recovered
Slovach you can't tell me Im wrong because I have a personall trainer in urban active.... 6000 a year.
This is my pain scale right now... and this is how you should feel (except for the teeth since I have braces lol)

If you're very sore in the area, rest it for a day or so and work on something else.
If you keep going at said sore spot, all you'll end up doing hurting either progress or yourself.

Do not work on the same muscles all the time, do upper body (Arm's, chest, shoulders, traps,) one day, then rest for 1 day, then go back and do legs/lower body.
Then rest again for a day, then do Cardio/Calisthenics.

| If you worked out and got pain, then you must have done the training wrong...
