Well, its that time of the decade again. I'm getting a new computer.

Lately, my current labtop has been sending its processor back in time for a half-hour vacation.

Every once in a while, my processor starts acting really old, to the point where shutting down is too hard.
It is not a virus, because I have just scanned mah computer with nod32 and reformatted it for the 5th time.

Well, enough about that, I decided I'm getting a new machine.
I'm looking for another labtop, but something a little more portable and powerful at the same time.

I've been thinking of buying a Tablet PC,
but some people have put down that idea.

Any suggestions?

Okay 1 thing. Laptop, not labtop Smile

And what will you use your laptop for?

Well firstly, I don't even have internet at my house.
Instead, I drop down by the cafe. I don't think I can pull around a desktop.

Secondly, me and my friends trade programs, and sometimes we can't come over to eachother's houses. So one of us has to carry in his labtop.

Thirdly, lots of my school projects require me attatching my labtop to a projector. I'm not going to be able to do that with a desktop.

WTF are you talking about? I never said desktop...

Once again ITS A LAPTOP NOT A LABTOP

ONCE MORE, what will you use your laptop for?

in that case, just go to a computer store and buy a ready laptop. just make sure it has a decent amount of RAM and good processor.

?? Did I say you said desktop?

I was giving uses of a labtop, and fending off anyone about to suggest a desktop at the same time >_>

Yes, I do. But I probably don't live anywhere near the majority of you, and my currency is entirely different.

I already have a tablet. I'm thinking of a Tablet PC

You do realize it is spelt laptop, right?
That is all he was pointing out.

If he corrects you on that spelling, and then you go off listing reasons why you can't use a desktop, what the hell do you think he is going to assume you got from his post?

Just give me your budget in whatever currency you want.

Yes I do realise it's spelt laptop.
That's just an old habit.

He also asked for what reason do I need a labtop.
I listed those reasons.
I included the desktop part because last time I posted this in another forum, everyone was yelling 'get a desktop' into my ear.

As for the budget, don't fret about financial issues. I will start saving after I see the price tags.

---
Enough of that.

Anyone know any laptops with a good processor?

Go with a Dell, they're well priced for someone who's not building a comp

Since he wants a laptop/tablet he couldn't build it anyway, all of the companies are really fair game.
