I was wondering if anybody had any idea how enso worked. Like how if your in firefox you can activate enso and still have firefox in focus. Or how it knows all the current window names open. Or like how it knows how to close a tab in firefox and not the whole program.

Windows API can handle all of what you just asked lol.

EnumWindows() API to get all window handles:

You can loop each window, pull the titles after obtaining the hWnd and so on.
