I didn't try the actual linux yet.
All I used yet was knoppix booted from a CD. And I'm very impressed of it.
Give it a try Wink

If you think about using Linux, I'd suggest using Ubuntu or Linux Mint

Terminal/Konsole isn't too hard to master, for me it's easier than command prompt in Windows.

Linux is not really an operating system. It is a kernel. Please correct me if i am wrong, but this is what i know.

Anyway, i catch on to things really fast, so it took me little time to figure out how to use the terminal (there are still things i have no learned, only because i dont need to use them). Always rememer this though. There are huge IRC channels on irc.freenode.net that you can troll till you get your answer Smile

You : "Windows is better because I cant do <your problem> on linux"

Angry Mod : "Rawr! This is how you do it!"

Code:
 sudo apt-get install

To Bam: Yes Linux is a kernel, the core of an OS.

If you plan on using Ubuntu as your distro, Wubi is something that will make your life a whole lot easier.

That sucks for you Smile Maybe you shouldn't use Linux unless you have a genuine reason.
