Well this is what i know about it. It cools it, it is kind of expensive, it is possibly dangerous and its almost completely silent (maybe even completely?)

Now i want to know, how do you do it?

There are actually people who do it, except with mineral oil. They use a fish tank as a case, it also had bubbles. It looked kinda cool.

Some components can't be submerged, so it wouldn't be completely silent.

And it's not expensive, but it is a mess.

You don't want to do it, trust me.

Which is why they used Mineral Oil, not Veggy Oil.
It won't get disgusting, unless you make it disgusting.

And it needs a radiator to keep temperatures out of toast zone... and that's on older hardware. Modern shit is going to be far hotter.

True, but if your going to do something like that, I know I would do it to my old P4 desktop that way if anything bad happens, I won't give a damn.

I would never do this with a quad core. Maybe a dual core, but I'd prefer to do that with a mobile on desktop system to make sure the CPU doesn't fry itself.

It should work, but it's not exactly a reasonable solution, your hardware will be all slimy and the fluid will eventually get conductive. Upgrades would be hell, etc. Might be fun to do with old hardware you have no use for anymore, just pull all fans off the heatsinks, and don't dip any moving parts, or any part of the PSU.

I think the PSU can be submerged in mineral oil.
